reminforBre Archimede, in the sphere of it’s local and environmental politic of development, of natural parks and protected area, of the valorisation of rural area and environmental requalification, worked in the REMINFOR project together with the Léon with Future Consortium.
The Spanish Consortium was born with the purpose to reduce unemployment and to increase employment, to delete all kinds of discrimination, to promote the international european integration, to reinforce the bond between primary and secondary sectors of the Industry and Training.
The goal of the project, in accordance to the aims of Bre Archimede and Leon con Futuro, is to requalificate the abandoned mining areas, reconverting them in areas of forestry interest.   Infact mining districts, during the course of the years, standed a very strong transformation becouse of the changed economic conditions and becouse of the mining sector crisis. During the ’90 thousand of family of these places knew a progressive degradation, under all the points of view, which led them until the defection, with very bed consequences for economy and industry.
REMINFOR Project was born to hack dependency on  the coal mining mono-culture, low development of the economic structure, low economic diversification, lack of managerial infrastructures to set up new projects, lack of technologies in the companies, enterprising culture very little developed,  scattered population and depopulation, low training levels for young people, etc, etc.
REMINFOR, concern local agencies and bodies,Organizations, Public and Private Associations in Italy, (Provincia di Salerno) enti locali, Organizzazioni e Associazioni pubbliche e private di Italia (District of Salerno), Spain ( District of León ), Greece (Municipality of  Larissa), Romania ( Municipality and University of Iasi) aim to the tree planting, and the sustainable re-used  of the mining areas and of the abandoned pits, in order to:

  • advantage the development of the rural areas through the creation of Natural National Parks;
  • increase employment through the creation of industrial activities, (e.g the wood industry, from which will come out the jigsaw industry, carpentry industry, the plywood industry, and so on;
  • advantage the increasing of the population in the abandoned districts, with the following creation of all the useful services.
